Assisting ACT Government Departments with the development of Resource Management Plans

The Environment and Planning Directorate of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government.

Brief
  • The ACT government has established a number of challenging sustainability targets including to achieve carbon neutral status by 2020. To meet these targets each of the ACT Government Departments is required to develop annual Resource Management Plans. This project involved:

    • providing advice on the format and content of Resource Management Plans and the capacity building strategy designed to assist representatives in each Department to develop their plans

    • Design and facilitation (in conjunction with staff from the Environment and Planning Directorate) of 5 capacity building workshops with representatives from each Department to assist them in developing effective Resource Management Plans

    • Working with individual departments to design and facilitate workshops that brought together key internal stakeholders to develop their Department's Resource Management Plan. For example, ACT Health
