The City of Sydney has developed a comprehensive suite of energy efficiency programs that aim to support the City in meeting its sustainability targets. The City is currently reviewing the effectiveness of its programs. In this presentation, Patrick Crittenden presents the outcomes from his research into how and why energy management practices have changed in Australian businesses over the period 2006 - 2012. Drawing on his energy efficiency research and consulting experience in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Mongolia, Patrick will then present key principles and guidelines that support effective energy efficiency policy and program development.
