Brief

Conduct interviews with senior managers in the real estate sector to establish:

• ​The role and key responsibilities of facilities managers in relation to energy efficiency

• Current approaches to promoting training and development and key challenges

• Examples of energy efficiency training and development for energy efficiency currently undertaken

• Perspectives on the development of an online platform to support training and development for real estate managers

 

Outcomes

• The report has provided input to a review of the Office's energy efficiency training program.

• The report was released in 2013 and the research will be used to further raise the profile of energy efficiency training and development in the commercial real estate sector.​
